This is one of our all-time favorite spots! It’s a small jewel box of a store, but if the timing is right you can totally score designer clothing, furniture, pottery, and lamps. They have a great selection of men’s preppy clothing too (which Tommy loves). Tuesday is opening day and thrifters line up early at the door, eager to be the first to scope the place out. Cheery volunteers add to the ambiance… helping to find a matching shoe or helping you to your car with a piece of furniture. Always on the hunt for another pair of Ferragamo shoes, Mom can’t stay out of this place!

The Vibe: Upscale, boutique-style, merch displayed well, easy to shop

The Finds: Set of Fitz and Floyd plates, pair of rattan chairs, colorful silk designer scarf, vintage floral curtains (I use the fabric to make large throw pillows!)

It’s no secret that sunny Florida attracts retirees from around the world and as people downsize their homes the thrift stores get more merchandise. This Goodwill is the go-to thrift shop for donating unwanted items in Vero. There’s a constant stream of diverse merchandise coming in throughout the day and furniture trucks drop off twice weekly. A seasoned thrifter can always find something good in this place. Word to the wise: don’t skip out on the bins above the racks of clothes, those items often get overlooked. I once found a vintage Liberty floral handkerchief, still in its packaging. There’s a huge selection of clothing and furniture. Open on Sundays and weekdays, the lights are on until 8 pm for you after-dinner thrift shoppers!

The Vibe: Clean clothing merchandised by colors (I love when they do that), friendly staff, and dressing rooms (to avoid the sideways looks you get while trying on an evening gown over your clothes….always a plus!)

The Finds: Brighton-Style rattan chair, faux coral statement necklace, cabbage leaf pottery from Portugal, vintage caned settee
