Thrift Shopping In Jupiter
As traveling thrifters, it's always a must that we are conscious of the time and have an organized schedule of the places we want to shop. Most thrifts are closed on Mondays, and Saturdays the thrifts are packed; so we feel that mid-week is consistently the best time to score new donations.
Most of the smaller thrift shops close at 4, Goodwills stay open until 8, and some Habitat Restores are open until 6. That said, you need to be aware of the hours of operation or you'll end up racing against the time. There's nothing worse for a thrifter after he runs to the shop door, to have the lights get turned off, and see a volunteer hang a closed sign in the window. The Vibe: Upscale furnishings, designer clothing, and shoes.
The Finds: Tropical leaf silvertone serving platter, French-style ceramic tulip vase, sequined party dress, and Mom found a plaid Ralph Lauren shirt for her new beau!
The Vibe: Large selection of evening wear, designer shoes, and handbags. Good variety of furniture and chandeliers.
The Finds: Bronze sequined sweatshirt, Vintage crystal and glass chandelier, Chanel pumps, 24 K goldplated flatware
The Vibe- This store was our favorite! It was loaded with the good stuff. Racks of designer clothing, Lilly Pulitzer, Trina Turk, St. John. My niece Juliet loves this Milly dress! I fell in love with this vintage Anthropology style sofa but couldn't take it home. It still haunts me!
The Finds- Silk animal print dress, vintage rattan chairs, faux bamboo nightstand, vintage cabbage rose print sofa with down cushions.
Zagat rated and everyone's favorite in Jupiter and beyond! Must-haves at the Food Shack are the sweet potato encrusted snapper over seasonal greens and the homemade raspberry Key lime pie! Yes, please!
